First Look
This is one of my favorite parts of the day! It also seems to be one of the more polarizing decisions couples try to make.
I know, I know. It's tradition to not see each other before the ceremony and some couples think it takes away from walking down the aisle. The funny thing is, IT DOESN'T. At all. You're going to get such narrow tunnel vision, those who've already seen their significant others tend to show MORE emotion during the ceremony. You've seen each other and have gotten all the nerves out of the way. You can even have a first look with mom, dad, and/or your wedding party, which makes for even more intimate moments!
The main thing to take away from doing a first look, though, is this:
+ You spend the most time with each other through the day along with guests at the reception
Without a first look, guests can wait 1.5-2 hours while a lot more photos are taking place. Once the couple arrives, guests tend to start leaving. Why not utilize as much time as possible with your partner and celebrating with friends and family?
Don't want to see each other beforehand? It's your wedding. Do what you think is best!
Sometimes a first look isn't necessary to get the most out of your day.
